An anthem-like track worthy of stadium broadcast if it were backed by a full band, just as big as Vopnfjord’s love for his wife for whom he penned this song, the track is a simple gem of propulsive emotion! “We’re closer than you know / I’m holding out for you now,” he sings heroically, almost cheekily when you understand he wrote the song for his pregnant wife who had enough of a Toronto heat wave. “When we’re together / Whatever the weather,” could be that humourous nod to the excessive heat. A cute, and a fun ballad that warrants some serious sing-along action and fist-air pumps, this song is well on its way from one steamy Parkdale kitchen table to a thousand other relief stations and couples nationwide!
